Philosophy The children's ministry of Abingdon Baptist Church is a family-centered ministry seeking to minister to the whole child, addressing physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs. We include the whole family in this ministry process. Sunday School Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. There are classes
for: Worship We provide care for preschoolers, age birth through Kindergarten during all worship services. Children age 2 and up are invited to participate in "Big Church" through the Children's Message time and return to their classroom for a craft, Bible lesson, and play. Nursery We provide a loving, caring nursery for each activity on the church calendar. We have paid nursery workers on our staff so that your child will feel comfortable by having the same people for their care each week. Music There are choirs especially for preschoolers and children. These choirs meet Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. from September through May. These choirs participate in worship at least 3 times each year. Missions Our church has a strong belief in sharing Jesus with the world. We have Mission Friends for our children 3 through Kindergarten and Children in Action for 1st through 5th grades. Bible Buddies Toddler Bible Buddies for those under 4 years old and Bible Buddies (for 4 and 5 year olds) teaches basic Bible skills and scripture memory in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere.
